From a young age, Kevin knew he wanted to become a chef, drawing inspiration from his grandmother, Olga Tetz, and his mother, Maxine. His passion for cooking was evident early on—at just eight years old, he prepared a full Thanksgiving dinner for his family. With over 35 years of culinary experience across northern Saskatchewan and western Canada, Kevin has called Melville, Saskatchewan home since 2022.
In 2004, Kevin earned his Red Seal Chef certification while working at resorts and restaurants around Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. By 2008, he took a bold step and launched his personal chef service, offering fine dining experiences in the homes of his clients. Although his wife, Melissa, was initially hesitant, the couple quickly found themselves serving many wonderful clients over the next 13 years.
In late 2019, a chance encounter offered Kevin the opportunity to cook in Melville, but the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic delayed those plans. Undeterred, Kevin adapted his services, and that year became one of the most successful in his business history.
What was originally intended to be a brief consulting role in Melville in 2021 turned into a six-month stay then extended to over a year, and in 2022, Kevin and his family made the permanent move to the area.
In 2024, Chef Kevin relaunched his personal chef service, now offering the Melville community both pick-up food options and multi-course fine dining experiences, all enjoyed in the comfort of his clients' homes.
