Ever since Kevin was a child, he knew he wanted to be a chef. Strongly influenced by his Grandma Tetz and his mother, he spent his early years learning all he could from them. His passion for cooking for others was evident by the time he was 8 years old, as by then he prepared an entire Thanksgiving meal for his family. Now with over 35+ years of cooking experience in various locations around northern Saskatchewan and parts of western Canada, he has called Melville, Saskatchewan home since 2022.
Kevin became a Red Seal Chef in 2004 and worked in resorts and restaurants in the Prince Albert, Saskatchewan area. It was in 2008 that he decided to start his own personal chef service, going into client's homes, and cooking fine dining meals. His wife Melissa was skeptical at first but within that first year, they met so many great clients. They continued this business successfully for the next 15 years.
A chance meeting in late 2019 offered Kevin an opportunity to cook in Melville which was paused when the Covid pandemic arrived. He adjusted his personal chef service through the pandemic, and it ended up being one of the most successful years of the chef service.
Finally arriving in Melville in 2021 as a consulting chef, he was only supposed to stay for 3 months, which turned into 6 months, and then ended up with his family making the move to Melville in 2022.
Starting in 2024, he wants to start a personal chef service once again, offering Melville and area, the choices of pick-up food items and multi-course fine dining evenings in his client's own home.
