The main difference between a personal chef and a caterer lies in the scope and setting of their services. A caterer typically handles large events, preparing meals for a big group with a full team of cooks and servers. The food is usually made off-site in a commercial kitchen and then transported, hot and ready to serve to the event location. In contrast, a personal chef works on a smaller scale, preparing customized meals directly in the client's home kitchen, offering a more intimate and personalized dining experience.

When hosting a dinner party at home, it’s easy to get so caught up in preparing the meal that you don't have enough time to enjoy your guests’ company. With the In-House Chef Service, you can relax and focus on your guests while Chef Kevin takes care of the cooking. Once you contact Chef Kevin, he will work with you to create a customized menu, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences. On the day of the event, Chef Kevin will arrive at your home 1.5-2 hours before the first course is scheduled to be served. He will prepare each course in your kitchen, serve the meal to you and your guests, and clean up afterward as if he were never there. The service includes all dinnerware and supplies needed to create your menu and set your table—everything except the tablecloth.

As a personal chef service, we do not provide or bring wine or other alcohol to your home due to liability reasons, as we are not licensed to do so. You will need to supply and serve your own alcohol to your guests. The advantage of this is that you can select your own wine, often saving money compared to the high prices charged by restaurants.

Our weekly re-heat meal service offers a variety of meals, including main dishes, soups, and desserts. The menu is posted by Monday each week, and orders must be placed by Thursday. Pick-up is on Fridays at the side entrance of Cumberland Villas, located on Manitoba Street, between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
